Roshni M., Fremont, California
I open my windows to beautiful mountains and fresh air. Fremont, California could be anyone’s dream city but for some reason I fail to see the beauty it clearly encompasses. I share a love-hate relationship with Fremont. My favorite adjectives for the measly city - which should really be called a village, or as my brother call it, “The Pind,” include small, boring and other synonyms to that affect. What I love about it? Basically, just the mere fact that I have a Desi cinema within three minutes of me. And that isn’t even clean enough for me to LOVE! Conclusively, no love here - in fact its hardly close to love… its more like dislike on an odd level.
